  • 200 g brown onion, cut into quarters
  • 200 g carrots, cut into quarters
  • 10 sprigs fresh coriander, leaves, stems and roots, cut into thirds (see Tips)

  • 1 fresh tomato (approx. 120 g), cut into quarters
  • ½ tsp ground turmeric
  • 1000 g water
  • 1 ½ tsp Chicken stock paste (see Tips)
  • 1 dried bay leaf
  • salt, to taste
  • ground black pepper, to taste
  • 200 g basmati rice
  • 250 g skinless chicken breast fillets, cut into cubes (1 cm)
